El Pico del Teide – Tenerife
While it’s raining outside, I thought I’d pop in with some good weather shot from Tenerife. This is the peak of the volcano Teide, surrounded by its cooled down lava. Colors vary from light brown to dard red and black – and green, since some plants manage to survive even in this very dry area. I was completely overwhelmed when I saw all this nature’s beauty. Stunning and gorgeous, wherever you look

I will make rivers flow on barren heights,
and springs within the valleys.
I will turn the desert into pools of water,
and the parched ground into springs.
I will put in the desert
the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive.
I will set junipers in the wasteland,
the fir and the cypress together.
